Deep Dish Apple Dumplings
Deep Dish Apple Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick parkay margarine, approximately 3 pt. sliced apples (prefer sweet ones that don't cook up), 3/4 c. light brown sugar, 3 tbsp. self-rising flour (heaping) and 1 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt 3/4 stick of Parkay margarine in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Distribute to cover bottom and coat sides.
Add apples, spreading evenly.
Combine brown sugar, flour and spice.
Sprinkle liberally over apples.
Put in 375Β° oven and cook 45 minutes, stirring a couple of times.
Okay if juicy.
Carefully remove from oven and top with flaky biscuits pulled apart into halves.
Top biscuits with 1/4 stick of margarine (a dab to each) and you may sprinkle top with brown sugar or spice very lightly.
