Date Tea Cake
Date Tea Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut off and discard a one-inch slice from the top of fruit. Pencil a zigzag guideline around top of fruit.
With a sharp knife, cut around fruit, following the line to form a zigzag edge. Using a spoon, scoop out pulp.
Fill "cup" with any type of salad or dessert, such as orange mousse.
