Date Sticks
Date Sticks is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2 c. flour, sifted, 2 c. chopped dates, 2 c. pecans and 6 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Put dates and pecans into a bowl and take 2 tablespoons of flour and mix until all are coated.
Take 6 egg whites and beat until they peak.
Gradually add sugar, 2 spoons at a time, to the egg whites.
Add remaining flour the same way.
Gradually add dates and pecans and fold until all are coated.
Add vanilla extract.
Line pan with aluminum foil.
Spread mixture (be sure it is thin).
Bake in preheated 350Β° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cut into sticks while warm and roll in confectioners sugar to coat.
