👨‍🍳 Instructions

Combine sugar, butter and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. When mixture comes to a boil, add the dates and continue cooking, stirring constantly until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234°). Pour into bowl and cool until lukewarm. Beat until thick and creamy, then add nuts. Pour onto a wet cloth.

Shape into a roll and wrap in a damp cloth. Chill in refrigerator until firm enough to slice.
