Date Nut Bread
Date Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. chopped dates, 1 1/2 c. water, 2 tbsp. butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar and 2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Put dates in saucepan.
Cover with water; bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
Add butter, sugar and baking soda.
Stir well and cool slightly.
Add 3 cups flour, 1 egg, vanilla and nuts. Stir only until flour is blended.
Pour into 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pans.
Bake 1 hour at 350Β°.
