Danish Sugar Cookies
Danish Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 3/4 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. cream of tartar, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 c. powdered sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Cut in butter and shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Blend egg and vanilla; add to dry ingredients.
Mix only until blended. Dough is fairly soft.
Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in white sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Flatten to 1/4-inch thickness with bottom of glass dipped in white sugar. Bake at 350Β° for about 12 minutes or until delicately browned. Makes about 6 1/2 dozen cookies.
