Cover bottom of 10-inch unbaked pie shell (should have high sides) with the apricots.
Mix the other ingredients (except nutmeg) and pour carefully over the apricots.
Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
Reduce oven to 325° and bake for about 30 minutes.
