Mix together the shortening, sugar, eggs and flavoring.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
Chill 1 hour.
Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on a floured board.
Cut out, using a 3-inch cookie cutter.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400Β° for 6 to 8 minutes.
Yields 3 dozen.
