Custard Sauce is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1/8 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Scald the milk in a double boiler.
Beat the egg yolks slightly.
Add sugar and salt.
Add the milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly.
Return to the double boiler and cook over hot, not boiling water, until mixture coats spoon, stirring constantly.
Remove at once.
Cool and add vanilla.
Serves 6.
