Method 1
Preheat oven to 425°.
Line pie plate with pie crust.
Purée in custard mixture made by lightly beating eggs, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla together.
Bake about 15 minutes at 425°, then reduce oven to 350° and bake until custard is firm.
