Set oven to 325Β°.
Pour milk over bread cubes.
Add salt and sugar.
Beat eggs; add with butter and vanilla to mixture.
Mix well after adding raisins.
Pour into a 1 1/2-quart greased casserole.
Set dish in a pan; pour hot water to within 1-inch of top of casserole.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
