Custard is an easy dinner. Made with 4 c. milk, 3 eggs, 3/4 c. sugar (scant) and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

In heavy saucepan, scald 3 cups milk (do not boil).
In a bowl, beat together eggs, sugar and salt.
Beat well, then stir in the of cold milk.
Add some of the hot milk to the mixture. then gradually add to the rest of the hot milk.
just medium heat.
Stir constantly until mixture coats the back of the spoon (do not overcook or let boil).
Strain.
teaspoon vanilla.
if allowed to ripen in refrigerator or until next day.
