Curiosity Cake
Curiosity Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 german chocolate cake mix, 2/3 c. evaporated milk, 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 3/4 c. oleo, melted and 1 c. pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine cake mix, oleo and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
Press 1/2 mixture in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over baked crust.
Melt caramels with remaining 1/3 cup of evaporated milk in a double boiler.
Spread caramel mixture over chocolate chips and nuts.
Press remainder of cake over this and bake at 350° for 20 minutes more.
Cool slightly and refrigerate.
