Cucumber-Onion Pickles
Cucumber-Onion Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 12 large cucumbers, 6 medium onions, 1/4 c. salt, 1 qt. vinegar and 2 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Wash, peel and slice cucumbers and onions.
Cover them with salt and let stand overnight.
Bring vinegar and salt to a boil. Sift together mustard, turmeric and cornstarch.
Mix with a little cold vinegar and add to vinegar and sugar.
Drain cucumbers and onions from salt water.
Put in vinegar solution and bring to a boil.
Pack in sterilized Kerr jars and seal at once.
