Crusty White Bread
Crusty White Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 4 1/2 c. plain unbleached flour, 2 pkg. active dry yeast, 2 c. warm water, 1/4 c. crisco oil and 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

In a large mixer bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour and yeast. Add water, cooking oil, sugar and salt to dry mixture.
Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping sides of bowl constantly.
Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
By hand, stir in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough.
