Crunchy Squash Casserole
Crunchy Squash Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (10 oz.) pkg. sliced yellow squash, 1 c. chopped onions, 1 tbsp. butter or oleo, melted, 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream and 1 can cream of chicken soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook squash according to package; drain well.
Saute onions in 1 tablespoon butter or oleo.
Combine squash, onions, sour cream, soup and water chestnuts.
Combine stuffing mix and remaining butter; stir well.
Add 3/4 of stuffing mixture to squash mixture; spoon into lightly greased 2-quart casserole.
Sprinkle remaining stuffing mix over casserole.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
