Crunchy Squash Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen squash or 4 regular squash, 8 oz. sour cream, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 large onion (1 c.), sauteed and 1 box stove top chicken stuffing, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Mix together prepared squash, sour cream and chicken soup. Add sautéed onions and water chestnuts.
In a separate bowl, mix stuffing and season mix together.
Melt 6 tablespoons butter and add to mixture; mix well.
Add 3/4 stuffing mixture to squash mixture.
Pour into a 2-quart casserole dish. Top with remaining stuffing mixture.
Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes.
