Crunchy Sausage Casserole
Crunchy Sausage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain and wild rice mix, 1 lb. bulk pork sausage, 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and 1 large onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cook rice according to package directions; set aside.
Brown sausage and ground beef in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Combine rice and meat mixture; add all other ingredients except almonds, and mix thoroughly.
Spoon into ungreased 2 or 3 quart casserole; sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 325Β° for 50 minutes. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
