Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches
Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (6 oz.) pkg. nestle butterscotch flavored morsels (1 c.), 1/2 c. peanut butter, 4 c. kellogg's rice krispies cereal, 1 (6 oz.) pkg. nestle semi-sweet real chocolate morsels (1 c.) and 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a large saucepan, melt butterscotch flavored morsels and peanut butter over very low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Stir in cereal.
Press half of the mixture in buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Chill.
Set remaining mixture aside.
Melt over hot (not boiling) water the chocolate morsels, sugar, margarine and water, stirring constantly until smooth.
Spread over chilled cereal mixture.
Spread remaining cereal mixture evenly over top. Press in gently.
Chill until firm (1 hour).
Yields 25 squares (1 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch).
