Made with 2 c. uncooked corkscrew macaroni, 1 lb. ground beef or sausage (turkey sausage can be used), 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup, 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes (i reduce stewed tomatoes and add approximately 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce) and 3/4 c. cheddar cheese, grated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain.
Brown ground beef/sausage; drain fat.
Combine all ingredients except French fried onions.
Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole.
