Crumb Cake
Crumb Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, softened, 2 c. brown sugar, 2 c. flour, 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix together butter, brown sugar and flour as for pie crust. Take out one cup for top of cake.
To rest of mixture, add egg, vanilla, sour milk, baking soda and salt.
Use spoon or fork to mix.
Don't overmix.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Sprinkle cup of reserved crumbs on top.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
Test with toothpick.
Drizzle with powdered sugar frosting, if desired.
