Cream together sugar and eggs; add shortening.
Mix until smooth.
Add flour to sugar mixture; blend until smooth.
Beat on medium speed of electric mixer 10 to 15 minutes or until very fluffy.
Beat at least 10 minutes.
Spoon batter into a well-greased 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 hour and 25 minutes or until done.
