Crisp Toffee Bars
Crisp Toffee Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. sifted plain flour and 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Thoroughly cream together margarine, sugar and vanilla.
Add flour; mix well.
Stir in chocolate pieces and walnuts.
Press mixture into ungreased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake in moderate oven (350Β°) 25 minutes or until browned.
While warm, cut in bars or squares.
Cool before removing from pan. Makes about 5 dozen.
