Creamy Surprise Gelatin Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (20 oz.) can fruit cocktail, 1/2 (20 oz.) can drained, crushed pineapple, 1 (6 oz.) box strawberry jello, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese and 2 c. dream whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat fruit cocktail on stove for a few minutes; add pineapple. Stir cream cheese into jello, fruit cocktail and pineapple until smooth.
When jello is part thickened, fold in Dream Whip and fresh strawberries.
If dark cherry jello is used, use fresh Bing cherries.
If orange jello is used, use mandarin oranges.
If peach jello, use fresh peaches.
