Creamy Pralines
Creamy Pralines is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. white sugar, 3/4 c. evaporated milk, 2/3 c. boiling water, 1/3 c. white karo syrup and 1/2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Bring to a boil in a large saucepan the first 4 ingredients. Add soda.
Bring to a boil again.
Then add pecans.
Stir constantly, continuing to firm ball stage.
Remove from heat; add teaspoon vanilla and beat until it thickens and loses shiny gloss. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
Add few drops of hot water if it begins to get too hard.
Keep in airtight container.
Can freeze.
