Beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
Mix in about 1/2 of the cake mix, the egg and vanilla until smooth.
Stir in remaining cake mix and nuts.
Drop dough by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
