Cream Cheese Cookies

Cream butter and cream cheese together.
Slowly add sugar, beating until fluffy.
Beat in egg yolk.
Add flour and vanilla and mix well.
Chill dough at least 1 hour.
Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Gently press a cherry half or pecan half into each cookie.
Bake at 350Β° until bottom of cookies start to brown, 6 to 10 minutes.
Do not overbake.
