Cranberry Ribbon Loaf
Cranberry Ribbon Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can jellied cranberry sauce, grated apple (about 2 apples or 1 1/2 c.; use coarse grater and pack loosely in cup), 1/2 pt. whipping cream, 1/2 c. confectioners sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mash cranberry sauce with fork; mix with apple.
Pack in flat layer in bottom of 8-inch square pan.
Whip the cream; add sugar and vanilla and whip until it stands in soft peaks.
Add most of nuts.
Arrange whipped cream in layer on top of cranberry mixture. Sprinkle with remaining nuts.
Freeze.
Serves 16.
