Crackling Bread
Crackling Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. cracklings, 2 tsp. salt, 2 c. boiling water and about 1 2/3 c. cornmeal, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cracklings in heavy boiler and stir while cracklings heat.
Sprinkle and stir again.
Pour 2 cups boiling over cracklings.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Gradually add finely ground cornmeal, while mixture on stove.
Stir until a stiff batter is formed.
Drop from large spoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake a 450Β° oven until well browned (20 to 30 minutes).
