Crackling Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. corn meal, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk and 1 c. cracklings, chopped or diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix and sift together the dry ingredients; add milk and stir in cracklings.
Form with hands into oblong cakes and place on greased baking pans.
Bake at 450Β° for 30 minutes.
(I make mine in iron skillet sometimes.)
