Cracker Jack Popcorn
Cracker Jack Popcorn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 to 9 qt. popcorn, popped, 2 c. brown sugar, 2 sticks margarine, 1/2 c. dark karo syrup and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Put popcorn in large pan (dishpan).
Mix sugar, margarine and syrup in saucepan.
Cook 5 minutes and add soda and vanilla.
Pour over popcorn and mix until well coated.
Put into large roaster pan.
Bake for 1 hour at 250Β°.
Pour on waxed paper to cool. Break apart and store in airtight container.
Yield
8 to 9 quarts.
