Crab Newenburg
Crab Newenburg is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/4 small onion, minced, 1 tbsp. green pepper (dry), 1 tbsp. celery (dry), 5 tbsp. butter and 1 tbsp. parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Saute onion, green pepper, celery, butter, parsley, garlic powder, chives, dry mustard, ginger and cinnamon in a 3-quart saucepan.
Add to sauteed mixture the flour, condensed milk, water, crab, eggs, paprika, salt and pepper and mushrooms.
Cook 10 minutes or until bubbly.
Add soda cracker crumbs.
Turn into rectangle buttered baking dish.
Cook at 350Β° for 15 to 25 minutes. Serves 6 to 8 people.
Very rich.
