Crab Imperial
Crab Imperial is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 1 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. flour, 1 egg, well beaten and 1 tsp. mustard (dry), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat milk to a boiling point.
Melt butter and stir in flour. Pour heated milk into flour and butter mixture, beating until smooth and creamy.
Add egg, seasonings, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise; blend well. Add crabmeat and mix well, but gently.
Fill shells or heatproof small dishes.
Now, mix 2 tablespoons mayonnaise with 2 tablespoons milk and brush over tops.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 400Β° for 8 minutes or until piping hot and lightly browned.
Serves 8.
