Gradually stir in undrained tomatoes.

Add sugar, worcestershire sauce, salt, hot pepper sauce and bay leaf.

Stir to break up tomatoes.

Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat.

Cover.

Simmer 10 minutes to blend flavor, stirring occasionally.

Add okra.

Cook 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.

Add crab.

Stir gently and heat through. Discard bay leaf.

Serve gumbo over rice.
