Cornbread
Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. cornmeal, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 2-3 tbsp. sugar (optional) and 1 egg slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Preheat oven 400Β°.
Cover bottom of 8 x 2-inch iron skillet with oil.
Set on stove burner and get smoking hot.
Put dry ingredients into a small bowl.
Add egg and oil, stir well; pour into hot skillet with oil.
Place in oven.
Bake 15 minutes.
No real southerner would use sugar in cornbread but some prefer it.
