Cora's Jumbo Raisin Cookies
Cora'S Jumbo Raisin Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. raisins, 1 c. water, 1 c. shortening, 1 3/4 c. sugar and 2 eggs, slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Boil the raisins and the water together for 3 minutes.
Set aside (do not drain).
Cream together shortening and the sugar. Add eggs and raisins with liquid and vanilla.
Mix well. Sift remaining ingredients and add.
Mix well.
Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Drop by a tablespoon onto greased cookie sheets 2-inches apart.
Bake at 375Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
