Connecticut Supper
Connecticut Supper is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 large onions, sliced, 2 tbsp. crisco, 2 lb. beef chuck, cubed in 1-inch cubes, 1 c. water and 3 large potatoes, sliced 1/8-inch thick, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Brown onions in fat.
Add meat and water, cover and simmer 50 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Pour beef into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Place potato slices over meat.
Mix soup, milk, sour cream, salt and pepper.
Pour evenly over potatoes.
Sprinkle with cheese and cereal.
Bake, uncovered, 1 1/2 hours.
