Congo Bars

Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Melt shortening.
Add brown sugar.
Mix well.
Allow to cool slightly.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
Add dry ingredients, then nuts and bits. Pour into greased pan.
Cook at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool. Slice.
