Congo Bars
Congo Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 3/4 c. sifted plain flour, 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2/3 c. butter (1 stick plus a little more) and 1 box light brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Slice butter in thin slices in bowl.
Add brown sugar and cream well.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat.
Add flour, salt and baking powder; beat.
Add flavoring and beat.
Stir in by hand the nuts and chocolate chips.
Grease large pan or 2 square cake pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool in pan for 5 to 10 minutes.
Cut into bars.
Remove to wire rack or a storage container.
