Congo Bars
Congo Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted, 1 (1 lb.) box brown sugar, 2 eggs, unbeaten, 2 1/2 c. flour (don't sift) and 1/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt butter and remove from heat.
Add sugar and stir well. Add eggs and stir well.
Add all dry ingredients plus milk and vanilla.
Stir thoroughly and add chips.
Blend well.
Spread mixture in oblong pan (9 x 13-inch), well greased and floured. Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cut while warm.
