Congealed Cherry Salad
Congealed Cherry Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c boiling water, 2 large boxes cherry jello, 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple including juice, 1 large can pie cherries and 1 8 oz sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Mix together gelatin, boiling water and juice from crushed pineapple.
Stir slowly until blended.
Add can of pie cherries and 1/2 of the crushed pineapple.
Stir slowly until blended. Place into 9 x 12 inch pyrex dish and let set.
Mix softened cream cheese with sour cream until smooth. Add sugar.
Add chopped pecans and pineapple and blend together.
Spread on top of gelatin.
