Sift sugar, flour, baking powder and salt together.

Work into soft butter and milk.

Make into a ball.

Put into a Ziploc bag. Beat with mallet 200 strokes.

Take out and divide into 4 balls. Roll each ball between wax paper.

Roll very thin.

Cut in strips. Bake at 325Β°.

Do not let it brown.

While still warm, cut into bite size pieces.

Pack in airtight box.

Save 2 or 3 long strips for pastor to use in the service.

Recipe makes enough for Pisgah. Very old recipe, used at Pisgah for many years.
