Coffee Fudge
Coffee Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. strong coffee, 2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. cream, 1 tbsp. butter and 1/8 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Bring to a boil in large, heavy pan.
Remove from heat until dissolved: sugar, cream, butter, salt and cream of tarter.
Cook, stirring constantly, until boiling.
Cover and cook 3 minutes. Uncover and cook over moderate heat.
Add almond extract or cinnamon.
Beat until mixture starts to harden.
Add nuts.
Pour onto buttered surface.
Permit the candy to cool and harden before cutting into squares.
