Coconut Pound Cake
Coconut Pound Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 2 hours 22 minutes. Made with butter, c. crisco, c. sugar, whole eggs and c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Sift together three times the flour, cornstarch, salt and baking powder.
Set aside. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar well. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
Add milk and flour mixture creamed sugar and Crisco, beginning with flour and ending with flour. Add vanilla and coconut.
Stir. Beat with electric mixer for minutes.
Cook at 325Β° in a 9-inch tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done when tested by inserting and removing a toothpick that doesn't have dough on it.
