Coconut Macaroons

Combine first 4 ingredients in bowl.
Stir in egg whites and almond extract; mix well.
Drop from teaspoon onto lightly greased baking sheets.
Add cherry halves.
Bake at 325Β° for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges are golden.
Remove from sheets immediately.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
