Blend sugar, flour, salt and egg yolks with cold milk.
Add scalded milk while stirring constantly.
Cook slowly until thick.
Remove from stove and add vanilla and 1/2 cup coconut.
Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue; sprinkle with 1/2 cup coconut on top.
Bake 15 minutes at 350Β° until browned.
