Cocoa Delight Cake
Cocoa Delight Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted cake flour, 1 2/3 c. sugar, 2/3 c. cocoa, 1 1/2 tsp. soda and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
Add Crisco and first amount of milk called for.
Beat with mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Add eggs, rest of milk and vanilla.
Beat 2 minutes. Spread batter in 2 well greased and floured 9 x 1 1/2-inch round layer cake pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes until center springs back when touched lightly.
Cook 10 to 20 minutes, then remove from pans.
