Cocoa is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. hershey's cocoa, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/3 c. hot water, 1 qt. milk (4 c.) and 3/4 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix cocoa and sugar.

Pour into 1/3 cup of hot water in medium saucepan.

Bring to a boil and stir constantly.

Boil and stir for 2 minutes.

Add milk.

Stir and heat (do not boil).

Remove from heat.

Add vanilla and mix well.

Serve hot with marshmallows, if desired.

Refrigerate until cold.

Shake well before serving. Tastes like "Dutch" chocolate milk.

Use 1/2 teaspoon mint extract instead of vanilla for mint cocoa.
