Grease a large bowl.

Set aside.

Heat milk, water and butter in saucepan until very warm.

Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in mixing bowl.

Add heated mixture and egg.

Beat about 2 minutes.

Stir in enough flour to make soft dough.

Turn onto floured board.

Cover with bowl.

Let rest 10 minutes.

Knead until smooth.

Shape into ball.

Place in prepared bowl.

Turn once to grease top.

Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size. Punch down.

Grease 24 muffin cups.

Pinch off pieces of dough and shape into balls.

Place 3 in each cup.

Cover and let rise until double in size.

Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.

Makes about 2 dozen.
