Heat oven to 400°.
Combine eggs, sugar, flour, syrup, butter and vanilla.
Blend well.
Pour into pie shell.
Sprinkle walnuts on top.
Bake on lower shelf of oven at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce to 350° and bake 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool before serving.
